The recipes on the net are all over on this, so, how about..
Red Seedless grapes, halved
sugar
pinch salt
lime juice and zest of 1 lime
flour to thicken
cook above in pan, then taste for correct sweet/sour ratio.
pour above into store bought pie shell, top with second crust, make slits,
bake 'till done..
Questions:
1. spices? Ginger? will fresh grated ginger work? I was hoping for a very Fresh Berry Flavor as I use cinnamon in the other pies I'll be making..
2. should I dot the filling with butter like I do for my apple pies?
3. will the flour be enough to thicken the pie, or do I need something Stronger?
but I'm not a big fan of Cornstarch as it seems to turn the filling into jelly..
Thanks All, Eric Austin Tx.
