Hospitality Queen
This is one of my favorite pies ever - Mom made it often when we were growing up. It is so beautiful!!!
Mom's Strawberry Pie
Stir together till thickened:
1 can Eaglebrand (sweetened condensed milk)
1/3 c. fresh lemon juice
Add:
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
Fold in:
1/2 carton whipping cream, whipped
Pour into a baked pie shell. Refrigerate.
Top with sliced strawberries (however many it takes to top the pie in a few layers) in glaze. (*she used Danish Dessert, but I can't get it anymore. You can usually find a decent jarred glaze in the produce section)
Chill again, till ready to serve.
