My friend is looking for a recipe for "Moon Rose Pie".

Her husband's southern Californian grandma used to make it, but unfortunately the recipe passed on with her :(

All he can remember is that it had a graham-cracker-type crust,
and there were strawberries and pineapples.

Help! Thanks all!

Here is a recipe that I have in my files. Good luck, SC

STRAWBERRY-PINEAPPLE CHIFFON PIE

1 (3 oz.) box strawberry Jello
1 (10 oz.) box sliced frozen strawberries (Thawed, and drained of juice to be used in Jello).
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (juice NOT to
be used in Jello)
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1 (9 inch) graham cracker pie crust

To box Jello, add 1 cup boiling water, juice from strawberries, and 1/2 cup ice water. Refrigerate until almost set. Remove from refrigerator and beat with a rotary beater until light and fluffy. Fold in 1/2 of the Cool Whip and strawberry-pineapple mixture. Pour into graham cracker crust and return to refrigerator until set. Use remaining Cool Whip to top pie. Serves 6.

hee, hee...first I thought you were looking for a recipe for a strawberry/pineapple "MOON" pie.. you know, like a moon pie and rc cola? But I'd never heard of that flavor before. Just bananna, marshmallow, and a chocolate coated one!
