This is not a copy cat recipe but, it is a good one pie mincemeat. The secret in this is to use good beef, not hamburger. I don't know who Mary is but, this is one my mother and grandmother used for years.
[FONT="]Quick Mincemeat Pie from Mary C. Taylor, Lubec Maine[/FONT]
[FONT="]½ cup ground beef[/FONT]
[FONT="]1 ½ cups chopped apple[/FONT]
[FONT="]½ cup seedless raisins[/FONT]
[FONT="]2 T butter
[/FONT][FONT="]½ t salt[/FONT]
[FONT="]½ t cinnamon[/FONT]
[FONT="]¼ t cloves[/FONT]
[FONT="]1 T molasses[/FONT]
[FONT="]2/3 cup sugar[/FONT]
[FONT="]2 T water[/FONT]
[FONT="]1 T apple cider vinegar[/FONT]
[FONT="]Mix together the ingredients as listed and spread in a pastry lined tin. Place a crust on the top and bake in 425 oven for 15 minutes; then turn down to 350 degrees and bake until center of pie is well cooked, about 45 minutes.[/FONT]
