What to do with leftover pecan pie?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that enjoys cooking.

I eat it! Maybe not on the same day----- but there's no such thing as a bad pecan pie as long as it's been kept cold.

Without looking at the thread, my first answer was "Eat it!" Smart ass that I am.

Forget the crusts. Scoop out the filling and use it as a layer in some other baked goodie. Such as a surprise layer in the middle of a cake. Pour half of the batter in, spread the pecan filling on top of that layer and cover with the rest of the cake batter. You can give it any name you want. It is your creation.

Use it as a topping for some other creation. Like an ice cream Sundae.

Well done......you guys have some really good ideas.

I bet in the long history of DC, this is the first time this question has ever been asked. Quite a refreshing change from the common questions like "I left a pot of something out overnight, and can I eat it?"

:yum: Oh definitely a first! I wonder when we will ever get a question like this again.
