Cherry Crumb Cake or Blueberry Crumb Cake

Cherry (Blueberry) Crumb Cake

1 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 can cherry or blueberry pie filling

Mix sugar and flour, sifted with baking powder and salt. Cut in the butter and the egg; mix to make crumbs. Place half of the crumb mixture in the bottom of a greased pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches). Pour over it, distributing evenly, the fruit filling. Top with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
