I first tasted this delicious cake at my dad's. His wife has been making it for decades and we still rush to the kitchen when we smell it coming out of the oven !:yum:
The actual recipe calls for white wine (she has some 1990 white wine from the Vouvray area in France) for this cake. I have "updated" it for my family as my son suffers a severe dairy allergy and also because I don't have that kind of wine in my cellar ;)

The ingredients :
250 g of flour
200 g of sugar
1 tea spoon of baking powder
3 eggs
1 little glass of liquid that is either white wine, milk (dairy, soy, almond or any of your choice)
1 little glass of oil (safflower of sunflower)

Beat sugar and eggs until mixture is pale and creamy.
Add flour and baking powder and mix together.
Add the oil and continue mixing.
At last add the liquid.
Your mixture has to be very fluid so don't hesitate to add a little liquid if needed.
A trick : use a large bowl so your mixture gets some air
Pour the mixture in a baking pan and put it in the oven (previously preheated to 375)
Bake for 40 minutes.
Enjoy at breakfast or afternoon snack or tea time :)

You can add your own twist by adding the following ingredients :
-almond meal
-coconut flakes
-chocolate chips
-coconut flakes and chocolate chips
-cocoa powder in half of the mixture to make a zebra cake (just alternate the mixture when pouring in the pan)

I will make another one tomorrow so I will put a photo.
