1/4 cup butter
1 (8oz) package cream cheese
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 package yellow cake mix

Cream the butter and cheese. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add dry
cake mix, 1/3 cup at a time. Mix well. If mixer is used, stir in last part of
cake mix by hand. Chill dough 30 minutes. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Drop cookies by rounded teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes.

They sound interesting I will make them this morning. I am going to have to take a risk on the yellow cake mix and just use a butter cake mix so wish me luck!

Yummy. I'd use a lemon cake mix and maybe add a few drops of lemon flavoring.

I am just waiting for the mix to sit for 30 minutes then I am ready to bake them! I ended up putting a tsp lemon juice instead of the vanilla and using a buttercake mix. If the finished cookie tastes anything like the raw mixture I'll be very happy cause its delicious! My daughter said it tastes like cheesecake.
Looking forward to eating these in the very near future.:chef:

I'm with you, Barbara! I love cream cheese!! Wouldn't any flavor cake mix work? And maybe like pds said, add a little flavoring to the mix, too.
