2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbl. Cocoa (Nestle's Quick for less Choc. flavor)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 Cups Oatmeal (Quaker Quick)

Bring sugar, shortening, milk and cocoa to a boil..continue to soft ball stage...Remove from heat...Add peanut butter and stir in...Add Oatmeal and blend in...Drop by teaspoon on wax paper...Cool....About 3 dozen.

When I'm bringing the first four ingredients to a boil, should I be stirring constantly?

Yes you should stir somewhat constantly so as not to burn...not a hard rolling boil..just a mild one...

I hope you enjoy trying them!!

Good gracious Uncle Bob, these are too easy not to try! Thanks for the recipe!

Miss Michele..

They are easy...Even I can do them;) I prefer the Nestles Quick...It seems the cocoa is just too strong...But then again some may like them real "chocolatey" The two tablespoons of Cocoa is actually 1/2 half of the recipe that was originaly given to me...years ago at a crawfish boil. Anyway...

Enjoy!
