Im trying to make gummies and i don't like the texture that i got. The first recipe i tried was as follows:

1/2 cup water
1/4 gup corn syrup
2 packs unflavored geletin
1 pack jello

The texture was somewhere between jello and gummy. The problem i had with them was that they tore very easily. Im trying to pour them in to molds and they just tore way too easily. Is there something i could add to make it bind together and make them tougher?

Welcome to DC. You have come to the right place for an answer to your problem. Do stick around and let us know how you make out.

Where did you get the recipe?

I Googled making gummies candy. All the recipes I saw said one package of flavored Jello, not two. And I read about ten-15 . recipes. The following You Tube was the most concise with the instructions and how to correct any errors.

the stuff i made, is not chewy, becuase my teeth sheer right through it with ease.

I thought maybe sugar would make a difference. So i tried

1/4 cup water
1/8 cup corn syrup
1 pack geletin
1/8 cup sugar

it came out to an almost identical texture as last time
