6 cups sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cup light cream {1 pint}
1 cup milk
1/2 cup light corn syrup
4 tbls butter or margarine
2-11oz white chocolate chips
4 tsp vanilla
2 cups candied cherries, cut in quarters or chopped
Lightly butter a 13x18 cookie sheet with a lip.
In large 3 quart saucepan, mix first 6 ingredients. Bring to a rolling boil and stir continuously until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees. Remove from heat Add chocolate, stir until melted, add vanilla and cherries. Stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
