Josie, do you soak the clay pot in water first?

I'm looking forward to doing your recipe in a dutch oven.

Kayelle, I do not soak the pot if I am doing a recipe that has
liquid in it. If I am baking bread I soak the top half of the pot
I have been using a clay pot for 20 years . Never had a problem
they are easy.

Thanks Josie, I don't like using a crock pot although I'd think your recipe would work well, so I'm looking forward to your recipe in my oven with my trusty no name covered enameled cast iron Dutch Oven.
