My family went back for seconds. This makes great gravy.

Yummy Pot Roast And Gravy

3 to 4 pound(s) BEEF CHUCK POT ROAST
OIL
1 clove(s) GARLIC; Cut Into Slivers.
WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
GARLIC POWDER
1 packet(s) ONION SOUP MIX
1 can(s) (10 1/2 ounce) BEEF CONSOMME

Cut garlic into thin slivers.
With a knife poke holes into roast and insert garlic.
Rub some Worcestershire sauce over entire roast.
Sprinkle roast with some garlic powder.
In a skillet or dutch oven; brown meat on all sides in a little oil.
Rub onion soup mix over meat on all sides.
Pour Beef Consommé over roast.
Cover pan and cook roast over medium heat for 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until tender adding water if needed.
Make gravy if desired with flour or cornstarch.
