CRAP !!
Like horses, most species live in harems of a stallion, several mares and
their foals. Bachelor zebras live either singly or in groups together until
they are old enough to challenge a stallion for his harem.

Although attempts have been made to domesticate them because they are more
resistant to African diseases than horses, their tendency to panic under
stress has made them unsuitable for riding or as pack animals.
