CRAP !!
"Ben-Hur" (can you remember anything about it other than the chariot race
scene?) picked up 11 Academy Awards in 1959, a feat that wouldn't be matched
until 1997, when "Titanic" walked away with the same number of statuettes.
Six years later, Peter Jackson's epic, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of
the King," also copped 11 Oscars. "West Side Story" fell one award short of
the leader in 1961.
And one of the greatest movies of all time, "The Godfather," received a
grand total of three Academy Awards, even though it earned 11 nominations
