Great idea! My friend in a city north of participates in a group named "Soup and Salon."

This is a discussion group (like a book group) which meets in different gals' homes. Each salon has 3 soup makers and one bread provider. The discussion topic is issued inside the invitation.

For a soup choice, I would suggest a roast vegetable soup. Not many people make this and roast veggies taste terrific!

To compliment homemade soups, I would venture on the side homemade cracker side. I use this: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/homemade-soda-crackers-2012817
as my base recipe because it takes no time to throw together.

I will substitute rice flour for the AP, rye flour, wholewheat and graham, chickpea flour, etc. I add fine ribbons of dry seaweed, nigela seeds, sesame seeds, you get the picture.

While I have nothing against crackers in my homemade soup can they really stand up in comparison to good homemade garlic and herb and cheese drop biscuits. Just saying crackers.... I do like crackers in my Campbell soups but in homemade hhmmmm....
