I had been in the US, and I like it, too.. 
but in my opinion almost every country has its special places worth to see.. so I would like to go to Italia, best would be at Giro time.. ;o)
yes, I like pro cycling quite a lot, went to watch the peace race last saturday but unfortunately can't watch the BAyern Rundfahrt, wich starts today only 12km away from where we will spend our vacation - from tomorrow...

Great to have another Italian alliance here!! I have been learning la cucina italiana autentica for the last 3 years since I came to Roma, but I don't know much about the cuisine from Veneto.... I look forward to seeing some introduction to some specialty from your region!!

the region who i live is Friuli Venezia Giulia, that it confines with Veneto.
I live in Friuli for 1 year beacause my husband is coastguard but i was born in Puglia, south Italy, and i know very well the traditional CUCINA MEDITERRANEA!
however i will write some recipes from north italy like "polenta " and "torta sbrisolona" and "apple strudel", ok?
