Nice to meet you buckytom!! Unfortunately this is my first cooking forum. Hopefully I am not walking on anyones toes with the nick. I got the nick from a cookbook my sister has called "Food that really Schmecks". I love the sound of the word "Schmecks" and I did a little research about it and found where it came from "Schmecken means to savour, to taste (as in tasting food, wines, teas, etc...) la degustation. A Schmecker (feminine Schmeckerin) is a professional or skilled taster. Schmecken has passed into English from German-speaking communities to mean to have a lot of flavour"

Welcome to DC! We have lots of Canadians on the boards here (and of course tons of great people from around the globe!!!) Welcome to your new "kitchen away from kitchen" :chef:
