Today went, well....it went. I won't say good, or bad. I had to work. I don't get a day off until Saturday.
I'm planning on making Paula Dean's Double Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. I believe I have everything I need for it.
I went out and bought half a pound of some decent-sized shrimp. I'm planning on Coconut Breading them Friday, freezing them, and cooking Saturday. I talked to my boss about buying a couple 24 oz Porterhouse steaks. I'll grill those, cut the steaks off the bones, and split that amongst everyone. I bought three very ripe Plaintains, which I plan to par-fry, squash flat, and pan-fry for the starch. Not sure on the veg. Finances permitting, I might even get some beer to wash it all down with.
