Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes. The weather was not so great. We had lots of rain and clouds. But I enjoyed my birthday anyways. We played cards in the afternoon. My brother and his new wife came over for dinner after work. My mom baked me a blackberry pie -- my favorite dessert. We grilled shrimp marinated in white wine, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and basil. Yum!! With the shrimp for dinner we had spinach salad (also a favorite) with sun-dried tomatoes, pinenuts, green onions, farfalle, and a olive oil, jalapeno pepper, salt and pepper dressing, and French bread toasted with Parmesan cheese.
