no he has great hearing - he's actually my "watchdog" he can tell when someone is approaching the house before they knock on the door or ring the doorbell.

Aw, he is adorable 97guns! Our first cat adopted us when she was around 6-7 months old so we missed out on the kitty stage. When she was gone and we went out to adopt a new cat we avoided kitties for two reasons: didn't want to have to deal with that stage and older cats are not as adoptable. Kitty Two was around 4-5 years old so we took care of both concerns. Again, what a cutie! Makes me rethink the "kitty" part....

what a beautiful baby. is he deaf? my neighbor has two that look like him and they are both deaf. what a sweet little face.
From what I've heard and seen on-line deafness is related to eye color, specifically blue eyes. The more blue eyes, the higher chance of deafness (<25% of non-blue-eye cats will be deaf; 1 blue eye=up to 40% chance; both eyes blue=65% to 85% chance). Now you'll have to check out the neighbor's cats' eye color!
