New here--hello everyone :-)
Hi there
am new to this site, looks interesting ,hope to learn a lot of food related stuff here
My first question is quite basic and will post in Techniques forum, but in case any one wants to give any pointers:
How do you get a big tortilla using a tortilla press.i have a eight inch one, but i only am able to get small circle (maybe less than 4 inch diameter -- does the dough consistency need to be different .. any and every advice will be tried!!!
Thanks, vyjoo

Hi welcome aboard. I'm new too, like to play with food and not a chef, so don't look at me for an answer to your question.....unless you want a frisbee. I have made many many frisbees, hockey pucks and deadly weapons out of food. :)

Welcome to the site. We are so glad you found us
What happens when you try to make one larger than 4 inches? You should just be able to use more dough to get the tortilla to fill out the whole press.

Welcome, V!
I've never used a tortilla press - around here they're all just patted down.
Somebody is bound to have an answer for you, though - hang in there!
