I work for a University in house food service where I began as a production Chef/Supervisor. I have since moved into a computer system support position as a specialist for a food management software program. I work closely with our food court managers and chefs entering their recipes into the system: CBORD FMS.
My wife and I enjoy cooking and seem to have passed some of those skills to our soon to be married son. We also enjoy growing fresh herbs and vegetables in our limited back yard garden and canning/preserving some of the harvest whenever possible.
I think one of the greatest treasures I have is a recipe box I inherited from my mother. There are family recipes that go back generations with some hand written notes and recipes that are priceless.
I will be very happy to share recipes and although I understand proprietary and copyright responsibilities I feel that none of my recipes could ever be secret. I think food is a something that is best when shared. If one can’t physically break bread together providing the recipe for that bread is the next best thing.
