This recipe is a favorite. I made a change in ingredients and substituted 1 cup of honey for 1 (of the 2 C) of sugar. The sauce is too runny/soft.
How can I firm it up? Thinking pectin. I would hate to have to start over, buy new ingredients.

cranberry sause

re question of sugar substituted by honey and consistency too thin

The ingredients in this sauce are fresh cranberries, fresh pear, sugar, orange juice and orange zest.

Am thinking pectin too, or some gelatin might work. Sounds really yummy! You could also use it as a syrup as is, or try some pectin or whatever with just a portion.
