We have this roast for Christmas about every other year instead of ham or turkey. Here's the recipe for the rub, from our local electric cooperative magazine:
2 T cracked black pepper
2 T grated Parmesan
2 t dried basil
2 t dried rosemary
2 t dried thyme
1/4 t garlic powder
