Suggestions for ice cream freezer

Hey everyone!
I have recently purchased an icecream freezer and started using that. But the cooling is not up to mark. I had purchased from a local store. Can someone suggest a good brand for an ice cream freezer preferably a chest freezer?

Do you want a chest style ice cream freezer? I have an ice cream freezer, where the freezer bowl goes into our chest freezer. Is that what you mean? It works well. If we want the ice cream to be fairly hard, we have to freeze it after it's made, but it freezes nicely for eating it right away.

I assume that you use the type of ice cream freezer that you have to freeze in your freezer, before the cream and the scraper are put it, and it is turned on (the self contained ones, with the freezer unit in them, are much more expensive). Have you tested the temperature of your freezer, that you freeze that in? If the freezer isn't cold enough - at least down to 0°f - that could be why the cooling isn't working properly.

Also, make sure that your ice cream base is cold before putting it into the ice cream machine.
