I have an electric tabletop oven that is 65 cm wide. I also have a space underneath my stove that is 65 cm wide. 2+2=?? I have not tried to fit the oven underneath the stove yet. It should fit if the tiling, etc is square. I have one question that is stopping me. The sides (both right and left) have a series of 2" slits cut in them near the top of the oven. What are these for? It is a convection oven. It is possible that it is simply a designers plan to increase the strength of the oven by adding these curves to the oven - the slits are stamped and the metal is turned in a bit. I believe there is a vent in the back of the oven as well.

Any ideas?

They are there for ventilation. The oven gets hot and ventilation ensures the inner workings, wires, etc. don't get so hot they are damaged.

You need to make sure there is at least 3-6 inches (7.75-15.25 cm) of space around the oven to allow ventilation.
