I ordered Joy of Cooking from ebay the other day. 915 pages of recipes, sweet! Should be here in time for the weekend.

Oh yeah and some miracle blade knives. Heck for $25 I can't go wrong, right?

I love ebay! I don't buy a lot of stuff but I sure spend a good amount of time looking around.

Congrats on your buys!

Better Homes and Garden's has a 'Bride's' cookbook that is wonderful. It is for a gift because there is a page to write about the wedding and such.

I ended up buying one for myself because everything looks so good.

I think my first cookbook was JOC and I still have it, 30 yrs later .

oh, I know ebay has them...I just want to pay thrift store prices for it....:-p It's the thrill of the hunt!!! (I picked up "The New Basics Cookbook" by Julee Rosso & Sheila Lukins today for $.10 - those are the prices I like.)
I'm sure eventually I'll break down and order one from ebay.

no, not in VA, I'm in California....with the "nice" hot hot hot hot hot hot weather....

Yeah.... I'll try it as a present idea.... but hubby already thinks I have too many.

Well, presents are supposed to be what you want, not what he thinks you need. I learned that one with a failed knife set gift! Oh well.:chef:
