We're fortunate enough to have good harvests of hazel nuts and use pounds and pounds of them for baking but our favorite drum type counter top (clamp on) hand grinder is getting old and tired. We bought a Cucina Pro but it was junk and haven't had any luck with getting one from Otto's Deli in California.

Can you folks recommend a source for a new one?

Finally found a pretty good one at Fantes. For $19.99, it came with two stainless steel drums (medium & fine). Used it today with the medium drum to grind hazel nuts for Lebkuchen. It did a nice job. Based on my last two sets of purchases from Fantes, I have them on my list of great vendors (fair prices. good selection, prompt shipment).

I think I found them based on Michael of Fort Worth's comments about wooden spoons.
