I can't believe my luck, getting this 6quart Instant Pot® from Walmart for only $49!!
I even got the glass lid, whatever that's for, but we'll find out!

Did my test run with the Water Test, Systems are go!!

It's very pretty, K'girl. I think you'll like it. The glass lid is for settings that don't need pressure cooking, like slow cooking. The pressure lid is heavy and unwieldy for peeking and tasting

We're doing a Rice Cook Off tonight for dinner.
DH's buddy from Hawaii (who moved to the Mainland) is
coming to visit for a coupla days.
So I'm doing one batch in the IP and one the electric Rice cooker.
I understand that the IP is suppose to be better.

Well ... I didn't bother taking photos, `cuz I mean, Rice is Rice and really isn't that photogenic

Anywhos, we had an enjoyable evening around the dinner table, we haven't seen our friend for over a year now.
We all agreed that the Instant Pot® Rice tasted sweeter, if that's possible, not in an unpleasant way, but we all also agreed that Ole Faithful T&T electric Rice Cooker is going to stick around.
I'll use the IP for other things... so what's next?

Pot roast/stew, corned beef, soup, apple sauce, fruit compotes, lemon curd, cheesecake, hard cooked eggs.

Serious Eats has a lot of recipes using electronic pressure cookers. I'm going to be helping my neighbor use hers for the first time. We're going to make hard-cooked eggs and chicken chile verde.

Fresh Corn on the cob ... not bad.
As I researched "how to" there was a pretty wide range of times... 2-4 minutes.
I split the difference and cooked them for three minutes.
Melted Butter to brush over the tops and freshly ground Hawaiian Sea Salt and Black Pepper.

I got a few things on Prime Day:

Cotton Christmas napkins and tablecloth

A jar, bottle and can tab opener set. (My fingers/hands are needing some help lately)

And they finally got 8" Aluminum cake pans back in stock. (the 9 1/2" are a little to big)

I also got myself a leather wallet. The zipper on my old one died after 30+ years!

We found that the IP rice was sweeter and more tender as well.

However, I will probably get another rice cooker because it is quicker and more convenient.

Lots of time waiting for pressure to build.

Just got this a couple weeks ago and finally had a chance to post a picture or two. It’s 5.5 qt, deep skillet, I have one just like it but after many years of use the Teflon was starting to give up the ghost . I was never a fan of Teflon but It was a gift. This is a try-ply stainless steel and good and solid built. This size is handy for a number of things I Cook from time to time but not my primary skillet.

Steven c You should get great use out of that pan. I've had 3 sizes of Cuisinart sauté pans for years, including that size, and they are some of my favorite pans.

Most of my cookware and kitchen tools are Cuisinart, OXO and Kitchen Aid. I have 5.5 qt. and 3.5 qt. skillets like yours. I also have 3 qt. and 4 qt. pots with strainer lids. I love not having to dirty a colander to drain pasta and potatoes.
Cuisinart is great!!
