Need Help Identifying Utensil

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I am in sort of a rush.

My grandma saw this utensil at some secondhand store and had no clue what it was for. It was cheap so she bought it to find out. After doing a couple days research she still has no idea. Our best guess is for cutting cheese, lettuce or hard boiled egg. It has a hard, round edge that is sharp and tightly pulled metal wiring inside. It's made by Kitchenaid, but there is nothing on the website about it. If you could help, it would be highly appreciated.

Avocado slicer, you pull it through a halved avocado after removing the pit.
