Uses for Grapefruit Spoons

Quite often I watch TV shows about cooking (duh), and see the talking heads seeding cukes, squash, melons, using a spoon. Here's a hint for you all ... own a grapefruit spoon. It has a wonderful cutting edge, and makes all these jobs so easy! Yes, I've used a regular spoon. Much as I love it, hubby and I are not supposed to eat grapefruit. So these two spoons haven't seen a grapefruit in years. But they sure know how to seed a cantaloup, cuke, etc. That curved cutting edge is great!

This is a great tip! I use my grapefruit spoons for so much more than just eating grapefruit

I use a regular spoon for cantaloupes and honeydew. I use a melon baller for tomatoes and cucumbers.
