Are old prestige sauce pans dishwasher safe?

I have a set of prestige saucepans from 1985 - stainless with wooden handles and knobs. We normally wash them by hand. I am replacing the wooden handles and knobs. They are currently removed and I wonder whether it is a good idea to put them through a hot dishwasher cycle to give them a good clean. The only reservation is that the pans have a copper bottom. Does anybody know whether that be a problem in the dishwasher.

The copper bottoms may discolor in the DW. No other harm should occur. With wood handles they are not DW safe.
