Does dishwashing detergent dissolve oily residue?

why don't you just use a plunger when the clog isn't very serious? I believe that it will work better than baking soda for small clogs

My plungers get used in toilets. I would use one if the baking soda and vinegar didn't work. I would rather not have to disinfect the plunger and my kitchen sink. But, it almost always works for me. I can't remember the exact last time it didn't, but then I used Liquid Drano or Liquid Plumber and that took care of it.
