The "Browning" Dish

It occurred to me having just seen a "cookware" sub-category, that my wife sold special Corning Ware utensils having a metallic sort of plate molded into their inside bottom surface.

Purpose was to "sear" whatever was being cooked in a microwave oven, just as though it had been in a fry-pan. Thus, one had quick-browned meat. I have not seen one of those "casseroles" in years now. One might occasion to find one in a second-hand store, Salvation Army, or Goodwill Outlet. If I spot one, I'll surely pick it up; our old one is long-gone for years now. imp

Bound to be someone here recognizes me; I'll be in trouble, sure!
