My very favorite knife is a Henckel - 7" chef or utility knife. I'm not sure of the proper name. I was cutting thru a hunk of Asiago cheese tonight & the blade snapped in half. This is not a cheap Henckel - it's from the Professional S series. I've had it for 9 or 10 years. My first reaction was total shock - after that I was/am so bummed out. I hope that I can get it replaced. And I really hope that it's under warranty. :(

Henckel knives are, I believe, covered by a lifetime warranty against breakage or damage. Check with your local cutlery store, and they should be able to assist you with where/how to return it for a replacement.

Sorry to hear about your knife. Losing a favorite *anything* is my kitchen would be cause for a moment of silence, for sure!

Oh, thank you!! I Googled it last night & never came across that page!

My knife isn't pictured in the series. I hope they still make that particular one.

In the meantime, until I can get it replaced, my BIL lent me his Wusthof Santoku. Nice! :)

glad to help.
