Brine Mix Shelf Life?

Does prepackaged brine have a shelf life?
It's been flavor sealed,but it is hard as a rock.
It doesn't have a use by date on the package.

I can only think of two major components in a "brine" - salt or salt and brown sugar.

Both have a shelf life of almost forever ....

I found several packages of pre blended jerky brine mixes.I have no idea how old they are exactly.Maybe I don't really want to know.
Your right they do have a lot of salt and sugar.
