Freezing habanero peppers

Hey guys - I need some habanero's for some jerk Chicken and the only thing the grocery had was packs. I needed 3, got 15. Can you freeze these babies?

Yes, they freeze nicely. You don't even have to blanch them.

I have a freezer full of them from my garden. I just toss them into a ziplock freezer bag.

Yup. Freeze them whole. I put them in the microwave on defrost for about a minute to thaw.

Just use the whole pack for your recipe..it'll be ok...trust me...

I buy large bags of jalopy (jalapeno) peppers all the time and I freeze them two ways; I cut the tops off all of them, then I slice half of them for burgers, sandwiches, etc. and I split the other half open, remove the seeds and ribs, and thinly slice theminto strips to add flavour to my cooking with not so much heat.
