I'm looking for a recipe for fresh Bread and Butter pickles. I just want to make a small amount, like maybe a quart to put in my refrigerator. I'm looking for a quick easy recipe that I can throw together and replace quickly when they are gone.
I have a small container garden; I grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and various herbs in large pots that I sit out around my yard. I don’t get enough cucumbers at one time to make a large batch of pickles; I get about 4 or 5 cucumbers a week. This is just enough to cover our salad needs with a few left over each week.
We love Bread and Butter pickles and go through several jars a month; I would like to make them myself with my leftover cucumbers. I have 5 large cucumbers right now that I need to use up.
