Recipe for Pickled Green Cherry Tomatoes?

A lady at work brought these in one day and they were fabulous!!! She gave me the recipe and I can't find it, and I can't get ahold of her, aaarrgh! I am assuming it is just a basic pickling recipe. There was also a few cloves of garlic and the usual dil sprig in there. I am new to this canning business this year! Is there a basic picking recipe to use? I have seen the packets of pickling mix... is that a good method for a beginner to start with?

For whole Cherry Tomatoes? No. They don't provide consistent temperature readings when canning so the Food Preservation authorities consider them unsafe to process whole. They should only be used like regular tomatoes, sliced or chopped.

As for your tomatoes, I would definitely keep them refrigerated.

If you are a beginning to canning, I strongly suggest you buy the Ball Blue Book of Preserving, which is the bible for preserving food. Cost is less than $10.
Support bacteria. It's the only culture some people have.
