Just read your message. If you are looking to make it hot, then red pepper flakes will do the job. But go easy with it. It is easy to overdue it. If not, then pepperoni has enough seasoning in it to make it spicy. You can also use salami or any other Italian luncheon meat for the topping. Mushrooms are always a favorite with most folks. A mixture of Italian herbs will add a lot of flavor. A mixture of fried oregano, thyme, basil and sage. Again, don't overdo it with the seasoning. And if you are making your own sauce, don't forget the salt. You might want to put a shaker of Parm Cheese on the table for those that like to add more cheese to their pizza. Please, don't use the Green Kraft can of Parm Cheese. It has a lot of chemicals in it for preserving. Alters the taste complete. Buy a piece of Parm at your deli counter or in the cheese department and grate it yourself.
