Yep, a lot of family, and in the middle of kitchen reno's that are at a standstill. But I did get 10 kilos of premium ground beef turned into spaghetti sauce, lasagna and chili with the help of DH and doing the lasagna construction sitting down! I am kinda proud of the sauce I made (for future pasta and the lasagna). I added some sweet Italian sausage my nephew made from a book we gave him last year, plum tomatoes I canned from my in-laws and Italian herb seasoning I grew and dried myself! So, I think that's pretty good for a gammy leg! How about you? Any new pickle experiments?

Well, I am still around, but today is the most I have posted on DC for a week. My leg is the size of the goodyear blimp, as painful as lying on a bed of nails and both my Dad and hubby have been sick.

But I just thought "Do you miss me?" would grab more attention from you than "just thought I would say hello!" Guess I was right!

Apricot preserves are nummy! I love them on toast, ice cream, vanilla pudding and in one of my favourite chicken dishes.

My NY was very quiet with DH working past midnight and Dad watching the ball drop live at 9 pm on a Detroit station and going to bed at 10, but it was nice. Hope yours was great - did you play a gig or relax with loved ones?

I have to say, "confuse and conquer" is an EXCELLENT approach to life, especially when one has children...teenagers.
