First of all thank you. Second of all you should never judge yourself like that. It is G-d's job to judge us. And you do not know who is his favorite. It says that world to come is open to anybody, not just Jews, or just christians as some may believe, or just Muslims as some other may think. No, world to come is for everybody who is righteous. Do good deeds, behave like a good person should and you are one of the favorits.

    Blessings to and yours.

Thank you, thank you. How are you? How's life?

As far as Chanukah, I personally believe that this Holiday can be celebrated by anybody who believes in light over darkness, good over bad, kindness over hatred. Because that's the miracle of Chanukah.
    Happy Chanukah.

"...union requirement..." As it should be. And when writing poetry, do you have a nice, bent-stem pipe to clamp in your teeth? No tobacco required; sometimes appearance is the primary reason.

you'd b surprised that American army supplies do not, look much better. As the matter of fact when we first came we visited Salvation Army a lot. They had plenty of army supply to give away. We could never understand why Americans did not want to take them. We loved them, remind us about Russian army supply.

No, not me. That looks much better than what we had to eat. I served between 79-81, the meat supplies we were getting were put in cold storage were marked 1957-1958-1959.

I noticed the new foraging thread! I'll be along there shortly, but right now I'm only on page 12 of Darina Allen's book - yum!

And - ****** - the crab recipe I posted yesterday was removed for bleedin' copyright infringement! PAH! I understand the concept, but recipes are memes! Grrrr...

We all get our dander up every once in a while. Chief is actually one of the more mellow of us! ~~ Meanwhile, as someone who was taught by her Mom to squeeze a nickel hard enough to make the buffalo poop dimes, I'm all about the "cheap". Mostly, though, I work around a normal ingredient and use a rogue ingredient if it is both inexpensive and quality. And rather the term "cheap", I like to use the term "frugal". ;-)

Adjunct Professor of English and sometimes Bookseller. I enjoy researching historical recipes. Baking (I do my own sourdough bread), and adapting recipes to be cooked outdoors on a fire. I can make a five course meal on a wood fire, and build a camp oven out of rocks and river clay.
    camping, hiking, backpacking everything outdoors

sourdough isn't a recipe, it is a process.
