OMG, I have had a few posts deleted. I tend to have a have a wicked naughty streak too and sometimes I've pushed it a little too far here. But the mods have always been nice about it and I try to behave.

I am really surprised at how fun cooks are. My family and friends think it's hysterical that I hang out on a cooking forum since I am famous for my bad cooking. But I really have learned a lot in the last year or so.

I love my pets, too. Only one dog and 2 cats at the moment because my mom is sick and I have to travel to see her a lot. Thankfully the dog travels really well. She has 10 cats and 2 dogs so we're a big fur-baby family too.

40 is such a great age. It was the time I really started coming into my own. More confidence and more self-awareness. I hope you're having a blast, too.

I've been thinking the same thing lately. I would never have thought that we could have a positive and compassionate "cyber life", but I think that is what I have here. Sometimes, with all the kids and everything that goes with that, I find myself a little isolated from others outside of the family circle. This place lets me feel connected and offers opportunities to care for and uplift others while they uplift me. This is the first forum I've ever been a part of so I guess I got lucky!

I'm kinda old to be learning to cook - 51 - but with 7 kids, ages 5 to almost 35, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. At least it tastes better now! What about you? I gather you are a much more accomplished cook than I am. Tell me about you and yours!
