It was a hit! Thanks. I was a little reluctant to try it. Vanilla beans and rum with chicken? I'm not the best cook, but I'm an adventurous one. I'm not sure I had the rum right, so I went easy with it and the vanilla - well, I wasn't sure it belonged, but I did it anyway. My guests were adventurous diners as well and I enjoy surprising them. They loved it. Beginner's luck? together with some tutoring - well I'd rather be lucky than good - and if it didn't turn out I was going to blame it all on some whacko on the internet :).
