I'm not a radish fan, but then I've never eaten them cooked. Do they have a specific taste?

They lose their "bite" when they're cooked. I've done them in a fry pan with a bit of butter and a splash of water. Interesting, but not something as a regular side dish, IMO.

Boiled sprouts are the reason I wouldn’t touch them for over 50 years, lol. I’m afraid I prefer them roasted or sautéed!

I just wondered if maybe they tasted like a water chestnut or something when boiled. Interesting indeed. I've never heard of boiled radishes before.

Cooked radishes remind me of mild turnips, or rutabagas.

I might try them sometime. I like turnips, as long as they're roasted and very soft.
