Not a word I think I have ever used. I had to check it out on Wiktionary to make sure it really was a word in English. I have done that on occasion and found out that the word was Danish (my first language).

The stola was the traditional garment of Roman women, corresponding to the toga, that was worn by men.

Yup, Danish. My mum was Danish. We spoke it at home. My sister and I still talk Danish between us sometimes. We both lived in Denmark as young adults.
