Dinner, Not Lunch

The pulled pork I smoked last night was tonight's dinner on homemade burger bus with baked beans, salad and Sam Adams.

No lunch here, either. Supper was garden salads and grilled cheese sandwiches. Himself had bacon on his sammies; I had a slab of tomato. I didn't make this bread, but I did make the plate that it's sitting on!

So, this seems to be the supper thread. We had burgers cooked on the grill, with all the fixings. I had two burgers this time. I'm still full about six hours later.

Fajitas and black beans. I marinated 2 pieces of skirt steak. The marinade included lime juice, garlic, sweet onion, jalapeno and cilantro. I also did a red and yellow bell pepper with a sweet onion. Everything was cooked on my Weber charcoal grill. The black beans were my normal offering.

Just had supper, no lunch. Supper was at a friend's house and included sow-cooked pork belly, cooked with garlic, leeks, and herbs. After the pork belly was cooked, it wad transferred (at least part of it) to a hot pan and seared to make the skin and fat cap crispy. This was served in bowls with r amen noodles, and the broth from the slow cooker, with Nori chips immersed in the broth. It was yummy. I had strawberry Nectar for my beverage. Finally, I'm happy to report that the gluten-free blueberry bread was really enjoyed, especially when a slice was buttered.:yum:

No lunch here, either. Dinner was homemade stuffed grape leaves, chopped veggie salad with red wine vinegar and feta, homemade pickles and tahini sauce.20200726_200504.jpg
