I made Maryland crab soup with shell stock from the picked leftover crabs. Pretty yummy!

Oh, I wish I could come to dinner Kathleen...drool.

Tonight I'm putting together a skillet supper with sausage, potato, zucchini, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper and cheese. If it turns out good, I'll post a picture.

I made some changes to a recipe for Easy Lo Mein, including adding ground beef and pork. It's tasty. I will be tweaking it.

Sorry about the fuzzy picture. I took them with the camera on my tablet and it's hard to hold it really steady.

Well, it's been a while since I got my creative juices flowing with a really memorable recipe I created. I need to get it written down before I forget how to do it.

That was just spot on dinner for our taste.

I'm going to try an experiment for dinner... but here's
what I'm starting off with:

Well, I think I've made CheeseSteaks once, maybe twice in my
lifetime, but these didn't come out too bad, even if I do
say so myself

These are not Amoroso Rolls from Philly, they're just plain ole
white Sub Rolls from the Walmart bakery, but they made
do, not bad.

And I gotta tell y'all, it was a good thing that I did this
OUTSIDE!!!
What a mess!
The French Fries don't make much of a mess,
but the Steak-Umms popped and spit allover the place!

I'm sure that our neighbors from New Jersey
were envious, smelling all that goodness ;)

I like that idea of cooking outdoors using regular kitchen equipment. I have an electric skillet and an electric grill. I would need an extension cord to reach the outdoor electrical outlet. I don't have a gas stove. Now, I am contemplating an experiment of using the the propane grill as a stove. I could even grill something on the opposite side. Hmm, gotta think about that.

Shrimp Pasta Salad tomorrow!

It looks tasty! I love lo mein.

I unearthed my last corned beef from the freezer and simmered it yesterday for sandwiches. We had Reubens, coleslaw, potato salad, and dill pickles tonight.

You need to be creative more often! That looks great.

Outside is a great idea. I think your cheesesteaks look perfect! I do enjoy Cheese Whiz on them though....Sad, huh?

Also fishy over crabby is fine with me. I think this is my favorite thread. Everyone's dinner looks so great!

I made pot roast with mushroom and onion jus in the Instant Pot last night. Sides were Bob Evans mashed and steamed baby spinach. No heat in the kitchen.

Probably leftover pot roast soup tonight.

taxy, we have several outdoor extension cords, so I used one for
each appliance.
The next time I do something in the Electric Skillet that I KNOW
spits alot, I'm going to set it over in the decorative stone.
It made a bit of a mess on the Pavers last night.

DH couldn't quite understand when I was explaining to him
what I was about to do ... then when I got myself all set up,
the light bulb went off over his head :ermm::wacko::LOL:

... snipped ...

Y'know Kathleen, I've never had a CheeseSteak with Whiz before.
My very first CheeseSteak was at Pudge's in Blue Bell.
OH.MY.GAWD!
DH had brought me to meet the family many years ago.
He said I needed to try some of the foods that he grew up with.
MAN!
He ordered us a regular Hoagie and Cheesesteak.
Those were so big, it took the two of us 2 days to finish!!
But he said that I must have Provolone on my sandwich.
I've been in love with "his foods" every since and try to make
many of them myself.
Last night he said that I was close, that I need just a few tweaks
to my CheeseSteak:
more cheese
and maybe some more S&P
oh and more onions
:chef:

I've done that and it works great. For example, we have grilled meat or chicken on one side and potatoes or vegetables in a cast iron perforated wok-shaped pan. In fact, I'm going to get a couple more pieces of bare cast iron to make it more versatile.
