TRUTH !!
William Moulton Marston (1893-1947) based the character (original name:
'Suprema') on a composite of his wife, Elizabeth, and his live-in mistress,
Olive Byrne. Wonder Woman made her first appearance in the December 1941
issue of "All Star Comics." Marston also worked on creating the first lie
detector machine and stated that Wonder Woman's 'Golden Lasso of Truth'
represented his efforts to create a machine that indicated whether someone
was lying or not.
